Families

My work with families includes a family systems approach that promotes positive changes for the family life. There is no need for all the family members to be present in a session in order to address a family problem. Since the family is a system, a change in a family member will have an impact in the whole system. We will work on the patterns of interaction that creates communication and emotional difficulties within the family dynamics. I can help you with parenting training, parent-child relational problems, sibling conflict, adjustment to stressful family life events, divorce, and transitions into various developmental phases. You will find a respectful, caring, sensitive and humorous style that will help your family feel comfortable and understood. My approach is active and pragmatic, and includes interventions that promote assertive communication, coping skills, stress management, and healthy relationships. These methods are based on the latest research on successful family therapy approaches.
